Was America founded as a "Christian" nation?

No. The only people who think that are the ones who have never read the writings of the Founding Fathers like Jefferson, Adams, Monroe, Paine, etc. And there's no excuse for that (not knowing about things you are talking about) with Google making it so easy to find anything info you need to be informed about a topic.
