I need to know how to wear my veil!?

Okay I have a really ornate headpiece from my mom's wedding that her mom bought in Mexico in the 80s. The front is like a headband but then it's sort of like a small hat of pearls and crystals all twisted around each other if that makes any sense at all. I'm not sure how to wear a veil with this. Does it go over or under it? and where at on my head? Suggestions for layers? I've seen veils on the internet in so many ways I'm unsure...Help!
